First stop was Joie de Vivre for hair and make up. Their place was very spacious with a lot of window light coming in. Then, we headed to The Crossing at Mervine Kahn for the rest of the day. The details of this wedding were pretty exceptional. You'll notice a macro shot of a silver coin on her shoe. It is a symbol of good luck. It comes from the quote "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe." Laine surprised Mimi by having someone make the chalk welcome sign. The custom ring box was a really nice touch, making for a great macro shot. And, I really love their choice of sign-in book. It is a photo book of New York, where Laine proposed to Mimi. I can imagine looking through the book in years from now seeing little hidden messages their guest had written at their wedding.
It was very nice to feel the comfort of this small wedding. You could really see how happy everyone was. And, this couple was so great to work with! Congratulations Mimi and Laine! A toast to your happily ever after!
