Tuesday, we had our 21 week ultrasound and found out the sex of the baby. It's a GIRL! What are we going to do? All this time we assumed it was going to be a boy. More about that later. The appointment went really well. The baby (girl) is doing fine. She has a four-chamber heart (circulartory system), a stomach (digestive system), kidneys (urinary system), and all extremities and such. We won't see lungs until the 30 week ultrasound. During the ultrasound, she (the baby) was moving a lot, which is normal. Seeing the heart beating and its four chambers was really amazing. The stomach and kidneys were just there as dark circles. Seeing these systems working ruled out many difficulties. The only thing not ruled out is chromosomal abnormalities. I didn't realize that we would see all of this important stuff on this appointment. I was only thinking of finding out the sex. And of course, I wanted a boy. But, I am perfectly fine with having a girl. I know that I will love our baby no matter what. My newest love's name is.........................Emily Claire Landry.
